The artist-in-residence program for foreign artists was established in 2016. This year, we will welcome up to 12 artists via regularly published open-calls. For a period of three to five weeks, we will provide the residents with accommodation, a private or shared studio space, basic production and PR support, curatorial support and limited financial support for the realization of projects. Our goal is to provide foreign artists with the possibility of working in Prague and getting to know the local art scene, providing our residents with networking possibilities and our visitors a chance to see foreign art works.

Each resident will be provided with a private bedroom in a three bedroom apartment of 85m2, with a shared living room, kitchen and toilet/bathroom. The apartment is located on the ground floor of the studio complex Petrohradská 1.2.3.. All windows lead to the inner courtyard.

There are two studios in Petrohradská 1.2.3. studio complex available for the A-I-R. The first of cca 25m2 is located on the ground floor, with windows leading to the street. It is next to the common workroom, were power tools are available for foreign A-I-R use. It is more suitable for artists working with materials. The second studio of cca 18m2 is located on the first floor, among the studios of the Czech residents. There is no elevator in the building.

The Residency program pro foreign artists is intended for independent, self-led artists working in disciplines of fine art, visual, sonic and performance art, photography, illustration, design, and literature. The selected participants will be provided with accommodation and a shared or private studio space (depending on the character of the project).
